Who this covers

OpenMeet runs proctored interviews for organizations. Interviewers sign in with an email their organization has allowed, and candidates join the interviews they're invited to. The organization that invited a candidate decides how that interview's information is used; we handle it on their behalf to run the interview.

What we collect

From interviewers:

• Your email address, name and organization.
• The meetings you create: their title, times and join link.

From candidates:

• Your email address.
• The one-time code we email you, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
• Where you are in the interview: waiting, admitted, in the call, or left.

From the candidate's OpenMeet app, only while its call window is open, each with the time it happened:

• The names and file locations of apps capturing or sharing the screen, and remote-access connections.
• The title of any window hidden from screen capture.
• Extra, virtual or wireless displays.
• The name of the audio output device, to check it's headphones.

Video, audio and chat go live between the people in the call through our video provider. OpenMeet does not record calls or store chat messages.

How we use it

To verify who's joining, run the call, show integrity alerts to the interviewer as they happen, and let organizations control who can use OpenMeet. We don't sell this information or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Integrity alerts are shown only to the interviewers running that meeting; candidates never see them. We use a few service providers to run OpenMeet: Vercel to host the website and the app download, LiveKit for video, Resend to send verification emails, and a database host for our records. They handle information only to provide those services.

How long we keep it

Meeting records and integrity alerts stay with the organization's account so its interviewers can review them. Ask us to delete information and we will, unless we have to keep it to meet a legal obligation.

Cookies

We use three cookies of our own: a pass for the human check, a sign-in session for interviewers, and a pass that lets a candidate who confirmed their email download the app. No analytics or advertising cookies. The Cookie policy has the details.
