Cookie policy
OpenMeet sets three cookies of its own, each for one job. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

The cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| openmeet_human | Shows you passed the human check, which comes before signing in or opening a meeting link, so you aren't asked on every page. Set for every visitor who passes it. | 12 hours |
| openmeet_session | Keeps interviewers and admins signed in. Set when you sign in; it stops working when you log out or sign in somewhere else. | 12 hours |
| openmeet_candidate | Shows a candidate confirmed their email on a meeting's page, which is what lets them download the app. Set when they enter the emailed code, for that one meeting. | Until the meeting ends |
Your browser sends them only to OpenMeet, and page scripts can't read them.
Candidates
On the website, candidates get the human-check pass and, once they confirm their email, the download pass. In the app, the call window keeps its session in the browser's session storage, which is cleared when the window closes and isn't shared with anyone.
Turning it off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Without them, the site can't remember that you passed the human check, so you can't sign in or download the candidate app.
