Does the candidate need to install anything?

Yes, a small Windows app they download from the meeting link. It's what lets us see what a browser tab can't.

What if the candidate doesn't have headphones?

They can still join. You'll get a live alert that no headphone output is connected, so you can decide how to handle it in the moment. If they connect headphones later, the alert clears.

Does OpenMeet work on Mac?

Not yet. The candidate app is Windows-only today. The interviewer side works in any modern browser.

Can the candidate see what's being detected?

No. Detections go straight to you, the interviewer, live during the call. The candidate never sees them.

How is the candidate's email verified?

When they sign in to the app, we email them a one-time code. Entering it proves the person joining controls that inbox.

Can I take a candidate out of the call?

Yes. Remove ends their session and drops them from the call. To come back they have to ask to join again, and you can deny them.
